Ralph Scharr

Ralph Scharr, 83, of Oriental passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was a member of Oriental First Baptist Church and loved signing in the choir. Ralph was an avid sailor and a dedicated fireman.

A beloved husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Harriet Scharr; his children, Katherine Caruso and husband, Paul, Randy Scharr and Marian Scharr; step-son, Wayne Bleier; grandchildren, Alison, Cara, Rachel and Andrea; and loving canine companion, Torquay.

Services to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Oriental First Baptist Church, PO Box 313, Oriental, NC 28571 or Southeast Pamlico Fire Department, Oriental, NC 28571.
