Clyde Edward Welch, 81, of New Bern died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Welch.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Welch; sons, Clyde Welch Jr. and Roger Welch; step-sons, Dwayne Boyd and Donald Boyd; sister, Alice Wilson; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service to be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 28th at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Dwayne Boyd officiating. Interment with military honors to follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
