Herman Lee Ireland, Jr.

Herman (Buster) Lee Ireland, Jr., 77, of Bayboro, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was a member of Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church, a retired tugboat captain and a member of the Pamlico County Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Mary G. Ireland of the home; two sons, Tommy Ireland (Edna) of Reelsboro, Robert Hagmaier (Stephanie) of Reelsboro; five daughters, Lucy Jarman of Reelsboro, Wendy Lockey (Virgil) of Alliance, Cathy Hopkins of Arapahoe, Jennie Jones (Mark) of Mesic, Joann Hagmaier of Bayboro; one brother, Curtis Ireland of Lowland; one sister Shelby Keech of Lowland; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 2, at Sandhill Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 107 First St., Bayboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
