Milford Rex Bennett, Jr.
December 15, 1932 — January 5, 2017
Milford Rex Bennett, Jr., 84, of Reelsboro passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Riverpoint Crest Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was a member of New Hope Christian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Cherry Point after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford Sr. and Isla Lee Bennett and one sister, Margaret Toler.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Gray Bennett; sons, Michael Bennett and wife, Ronnie, of New Bern and Ricky Bennett and wife, Valerie, of Reelsboro; daughter, Victoria Bennett of Reelsboro; brothers, Ray Bennett and Ken Bennett, both of Reelsboro; sister, Mildred Green of New Bern; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Bradley and Ashton Bennett.
His funeral will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 10th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Sandhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
