Vaughn Thomas Hill Jr., 79, of Pamlico passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare-Trent Campus.

He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and retired from IBM. Tommy always seemed to have a “project” he was working on. He loved to hunt and fish and his hometown of Pamlico County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn & Ruby Hill; sister, Betty Anne Hill; brothers, Dallas M. Hill, Bobby Royce Hill and Ronnie Gray Hill; and his daughter-in-law, Winta Mitchell Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Hill of Garner; son, Tommy R. Hill of Wake Forest; daughters, Tammy H. Allen (Mike) of Knoxville, TN and Sandy H. Al-Sharawneh (Ahmad) of Raleigh; stepchildren, Britt Gilbert (Debbie), Johnny Gilbert and Lisa Pruitt; sister, Sue Frawley of Grantsboro; brothers, John Paul Hill (Tana) of Greenville and Kenneth Hill (Linda) of Pamlico; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, Danielle Pruitt, Tanner, Taylor, Tyler & Brittany Gilbert; and two step-great-grandchildren.

His graveside service will be held Sunday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m., at Bethel FWB Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 99, Alliance, NC 28509.
