Mollie Ballance Campen

October 6, 1913 — March 4, 2017

Mollie Ballance Campen, 103, of Lowland passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was a member of Wardens Grove OFWB Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Albert S. Campen; son, Eric A. Campen; son-in-law, Reginald Caroon; and granddaughter, Angel C. Woodard.

She is survived by two daughters, Edith C. Johnson (Bob) of Maribel and Lottie C. Caroon of Lowland; two sons, Floyd E. Campen (Martha) of Minnesott Beach and Albert L. Campen of Havelock; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth L. Campen of Cape Carteret; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 8th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Carawan, Earl Sadler Jr., and Wesley Taylor officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to The Gideons, PO Box 37, Bayboro, NC 28515, FWB Children’s Home, PO Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557, or University of Mount Olive, 634 Henderson St., Mount Olive, NC 28365.
