Orien Chalmers Potter
June 8, 1927 — March 11, 2017
Orien “Bill” Chalmers Potter 89, of Vanceboro, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.
He served in the Merchant Marines and was a life-long farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wayne Raye Potter of the home; one son, Grady Potter; and one daughter, Glory Ann Potter, both of Ernul; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Lewis officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening, March 13 at the funeral home.
