Charles Duffy Caton

August 3, 1933 — April 13, 2017

Charles Duffy Caton, 83, of Grantsboro passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at home.

He was a member of Rock of Zion FWB Church and a proud veteran of the Korean War. He was a loving husband and father. Charles was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was also the first to pitch a no-hitter at Pamlico County High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Goodwin Caton; parents, Levi & Delia Caton; and brother, Joe Caton.

He is survived by two sons, Ricky Martin Caton and wife, Martha, of Frisco, NC and Tracy Caton and wife, Roberta, of Grantsboro; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 17th at Rock of Zion FWB Church with the Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Dixon-Cahoon Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
