Paula Willis Banks

Paula Willis Banks, 64, of Grantsboro passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at home.

She was a member of Amity Christian Church and taught Sunday school there. A loving wife and mother with a generous heart, she helped raise more than just her one son and has since been affectionately known to them and their extended families as “Mimi”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel & Lois Willis and brother, Lionel Willis Jr.

She is survived by her husband, of 45 years, James Banks; son, Jami Banks and wife, Tanya; brothers, Seth Austin Willis and Shannon Willis; sister, Janice Rose Willis; two grandchildren, Caleb R. Banks and Harrison Faith Banks; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 18th at Amity Christian Church with the Rev. Lynn Maxwell and the Rev. Kenny Connor officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to one’s favorite charity.
