Mitchell Wayne Nipper

Mitchell “Mitch” Wayne Nipper, 74, of Grantsboro went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

He was a former member of West Vanceboro Church of God and attended Soldier Ministries and Word Fellowship when his health would allow.

Mitchell was a native of Florida but lived most of his life in Vanceboro before moving to Grantsboro eight years ago. He worked most of his life as an auto parts salesman having worked at Paul Auto, Buckman Auto and Norfolk Paint Co.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Barbara Owens Nipper; daughter, Debra N. Woodall; son, Mitchell B. Nipper; brother, Kenneth T. Nipper; sister, Shirley Nipper Tripp; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

His service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 5th at West Vanceboro Church of God with the Rev. Robert Worthington and Rev. Owen Lupton officiating. Graveside services will be held privately.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home.
