Norma Lucille Sadler

Norma “Lucille” Ireland Sadler, 77, of Hobucken passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was a member of Hobucken Methodist Church and formerly worked at the Hobucken post office. She was first mate with husband, Jack, on his commercial fishing boat “Shirley”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cresie Ireland and sisters, Betty Lou Flowers and Julia Elizabeth Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Sadler of Hobucken; sons, Andrew J. Sadler Jr. (Jennifer) of Grantsboro and Ervin L. Sadler (Kim) of Alliance; brothers, William R. Ireland (Marsha) of Lowland and Allen Ireland of New Port Richey, Florida; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hope Sadler Messer (John), Ervin L. Sadler (Leah), Jessica L. Sadler Padilla (Kelly) and Andrew “Drew” Sadler (Cortney); and three great-grandchildren, Willow Rayne Sadler, Jackson Sadler and Scarlett Sadler.

Her memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13th at the Hobucken Community Center with Brother Leland Tetterton officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Continuum Home Care & Hospice, 1505 S. Glenburnie Rd. Market Place Suite M, New Bern, NC 28562.
