Bessie Jones Roach

Bessie Jones Roach, 87, of New Bern passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Arthur Roach; and a sister, Lucille Hinson.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Roach of New Bern; daughters, Margie Gilbert and husband, Webster, of New Bern and Patricia Dail of New Bern; brothers, Clifton Jones and Robert Earl Jones, both of Ft. Barnwell; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 21st at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob Bongiorno officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 20th at Bryant Funeral Home.
