Letha Smith Paul

Letha Marie Paul, age 80, of Alliance passed away, Monday, August 28, 2017 in Holly Springs surrounded by family at the home of her son, David Paul.

Letha was born in Texas, where she met and married Lawrence Paul. Together they raised 4 children and moved where ever the Air Force sent them until they eventually settled in Pamlico County. Letha loved her church and was a long time member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Lawrence Paul. She will forever be remembered by her two daughters, Susan P. Kelemen (Tom) of Hendersonville and Belinda P. Stowe (Woody) of Alliance and two sons David L. Paul (Lois) of Holly Springs and Christopher L. Paul of Alliance. Letha adored her 7 grandchildren, Adam, Zack, Rebecca, Rachel, Melissa, Hannah and Matthew.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Bryant Funeral Home from 5:00pm-6:30pm Friday, September 1.

Her funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 2 at Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Paul Cemetery, Arapahoe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 117, Arapahoe, NC 28510.
