Almerick Fred Plant, Sr.

Almerick Fred "Fuzzy" Plant, Sr. age 85 years, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

He was born May 20, 1932, in Newburgh, NY. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Lee Plant.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley May Utter Plant; a daughter, Kathleen June and her husband, "Sonny" Babcock ; two sons, Almerick Fred Plant, Jr.; and Joseph Albert Plant, and his wife , Jane. In addition he is survived by 17 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

Fuzzy will be remembered for his love and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ; his devotion to his family; and his exceptional talent as a singer and musician. He is a legend and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 12th at 4 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in New Bern, NC.
