Darrell Wayne Rogers, Jr.

Darrell “DJ” Wayne Rogers, Jr., 31, of Alliance, born June 5, 1986, passed away on November 17, 2017.
DJ was known by many for his wit and smile and his ability to bring out a smile or laugh from those around him. He had a huge heart and was passionate about the needs of others. He was always free with his warm hugs that would just melt right into your soul. He was very artistic and creative with the ability to vision and bring out the beauty in simple things. He was a very good cook. He loved being outdoors fishing and throwing his cast net for shrimp.

Sadly, a few bad choices in life kept him from reaching his full potential, but he was our Dj and we loved our Dj. He will always be loved and missed.

He was preceded in death by his cousin Heather Woolard; paternal grandfather, Walter Rogers; maternal grandmother, Donna Spain.

He is survived by his mother, Yvette McNeil Rogers of Alliance; his father, Darrell “Buddy” Rogers of Alliance; sisters, Amy Rogers Burton of Aurora and Brandy Rogers of Alliance; grandmother, Jean Alfred Rogers of Bayboro; nephews, Nicholas, Jacob and Ben Burton, Jerrick Johnson and John Paul Newton, Jr.

There will be no services but the family appreciates and treasures the sharing of pictures or memories of Dj.
