Jean Brinson Gibbs

Jean Brinson Gibbs, 85, formerly of Bayboro, passed away peacefully after years of fighting Alzheimers.

She was a lifelong member of the Bayboro Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Furman Gibbs; parents, Oswell and Gladys Brinson; and four siblings.

She is survived by three daughters, Gladys Coatney of Allen, TX, Susan Gibbs and Pamela Millis, both of New Bern; four grandchildren, Mac McGreger, Tim McGreger, Elizabeth Pegram, and Donna Pegram; and four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
