Jack Curtis Jones Sr

Jack Curtis “J.C.” Jones, Sr., 85, of Bridgeton passed away Friday, January 19, 2018, at home.

He was a member of Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired after 20 years of service from the Civil Service.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vivian Jones; sons, Jack Curtis Jones, Jr. of Marshall, NC and Phillip M. Jones of New Bloomfield, PA; daughters, Catherine J. Wells of Swansboro, Donna J. Barrentine of Melbourne, Fla, Nellie J. Smithwick of Ernul and Janice J. Grant of Ernul; sister, Annie Palmer Jones Baird of Louisville, KY; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24th at Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating. Interment will follow immediately in New Bern Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.
