Frieda Gassert Tresidder

Frieda G. Tresidder, 82, of New Bern passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018, at home.

She was born in Lustdorf, Ukraine on October 24, 1935 to Otto and Ida E. Gassert. Her family immigrated to the U.S. from Germany in 1951 and settled in the New Bern area, working on the Sellhorn dairy farm in what is now the Taberna subdivision.

She retired after several years of service at the New Bern Bosch manufacturing plant. Frieda enjoyed working in her yard, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Frieda was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Robert and Donald Tresidder.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy and Adam Tresidder and her daughter-in-law, Sheila Tresidder Croom.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24th at Pollocksville Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of her daughter-in-law, 243 Claude Banks Rd. Trenton, NC 28585

She will be missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
