Virginia Rolison Jordan

Virginia Rolison Jordan, 91, of New Bern, formerly of Oriental passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of Ruth’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Known as “Ms. Ginny”, she enjoyed caring for the children of Oriental. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coley Wesley Jordan Sr. and sons, Ellis Watson Jordan and Ricky Lane Jordan Sr.

She is survived by her son, Coley Jordan Jr. and wife, Laura, of Aurora; daughter, Linda Holton of New Bern; seven grandchildren, Sabra Smith (Bryan), Kelsey Hill, Lisa Gaskins (Michael), Susan McFarland (Eric), Cyndi Jordan, Sandra Jordan and Ricky Lane Jordan, Jr. (Rachel); and twelve great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 1st at Ruth’s Chapel Church with the Rev. Ral Alsbrook officiating. Interment will be in Oriental Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Ruth’s Chapel FWB Church, 2709 Oaks Rd., New Bern, NC 28560.
