Raymond Dewitt Slade

Raymond Dewitt Slade, 68, of New Bern passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 32 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Delores Slade; and three sons, Anthony Slade and wife, Cary, of California, Zachary Slade and wife, Jodie, of Texas and Francis Eric Slade and wife, Heather, of New Bern; and five grandchildren.

His funeral will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating and with military honors.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Colonial Capital Humane Society, PO Box 326, New Bern, NC 28563.
