Benders “Benny” George Golden III, 78, of Grantsboro passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at home.

Benny enjoyed anything related to the river, such as fishing, oystering, and netting. He also enjoyed restoring boats and classic cars and helping his family. He retired as a Tugboat captain after 32+ years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Mildred Golden and son, James Golden.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathrine Golden; sons, George Golden (Michelle), Billy Jack Golden; daughter, Renea Golden Gill (Chris); daughter in law, Beth Golden; brother, Bill Golden; sisters, Louise Raynor and Ellen Lewis; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Brittany, Ben (Monica), David, Bryce, Reese, Samantha and Eli; and four great-grandchildren, Lexi, Scarlett, Ender, and Kyren.

His memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25 ^th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel in Alliance with the Rev. Christopher Gill officiating.

Following the service, the family will receive friends and relatives for lunch at their home.
