Betty Jean Mills Sawyer

Betty Jean Mills Sawyer, 88, of Reelsboro passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at home.

She is a member of Reelsboro Christian Church. She worked 20+ years as a nursing assistant at Craven Regional Medical Center before working multiple years in private home care.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Sawyer; and son, Bobby Lee Harris, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Judy Bowen (Eddie); sisters, Louise Lee, Janice Brinson, and Mary Salter (Charles); in-laws, Dewitt Sawyer (Annabell), Jackie Sawyer, Goldie Wells, Patricia Dail, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Linda Mitchell; and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11th at Sandhill Cemetery, Reelsboro, with the Rev. Riley Green officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Reelsboro Christian Church, PO Box 255, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
