Beverly "Linda" Joyner Page

December 30, 1940 — January 23, 2025

Beverly Linda Joyner Page (Linda), age 84, passed away peacefully in her home on January 23, 2025, after a yearlong battle with congestive heart failure.

Linda was born on December 30, 1940, the oldest of four siblings.  She graduated from Rose High School in 1959 and went on to King’s Business College in Raleigh, NC, where she met the love of her life, Jimmy Page, and married him a mere four weeks after they met, on Dec. 5, 1959.  In 1968 they settled into their little home on Ragan Road, where they have lived since.

Linda was fierce, passionate, smart, and agile.  She was a dancer as a girl, and loved to dress up in her dance costumes, hand sewn by her mother.  She loved going to the mountains and hiking.  Every summer she and “Papa Jim” loaded up at least 4 of the grandkids in their Suburban named “Big Herb” from the time they were 2-3 years old to when they were in middle school, and took them on camping trips to the mountains, where she cooked for everyone, got everyone bathed, and made sure they were all safely tucked in for the night.  She attended graduations and weddings and always was so proud of each one of them.

Linda also loved her precious little dog, Chloe, who was the reigning Princess of the house and provided great comfort to her over the past 8 years.

Linda is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim Page; her children, Tammy Barbour (George), Michael Page, Michelle Page, and Kay Cross (Don).  Linda is also survived by her grandchildren Chris Barbour, David Barbour, James Barbour, Tyler Cross, Zach Cross, Jonathan Cross, Brooke Pennington, Jake Deaton, Maya Win, Kaitlyn Jenkins, and Meghan Pittman; and eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Callie, Remy, Liam, Calvin, Ani, Brylee and Carter. In addition, Linda is also survived by her sister, Leslie Rainey (John); and her brother, Ken Joyner (Becky); and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Linda is predeceased by her parents, Beverly Tucker Joyner, and Lillie Pearl Hardee Joyner, as well as by her brother, Donald Reid Joyner.
