Bobby "Les" Lester Owens, Jr.

Bobby Lester “Les” Owens, Jr., 72, of Olympia, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Les retired from CenturyLink after years of dedicated service and was also a proud retired veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country with honor and commitment.

A faithful member of Lowell Masonic Lodge No. 590 and St. John’s Lodge No. 3, Les valued the principles of brotherhood, integrity, and service that defined his Masonic journey.

Above all, Les treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Owens; son, Matthew McAllister (Emma); daughter, Jennie Martinez (Emilio); sisters, Virginia Anne Owens and Rebecca Holloway; and two cherished grandchildren, Victor Martinez and Dacson McAllister. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, along with his beloved dogs, Eli and Millie, who brought him great joy and companionship.

A memorial service with Masonic rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
