Cecelia Ann Stroup

Cecelia Ann Yelverton Stroup, 78, of Pamlico County passed away Monday, April 19 ^th , 2021 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse & Eunice Yelverton, husband, Jacob Spencer Stroup Jr. and sister, Rebecca Sue Chase.

She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Stroup Hawkins (Buddy Bell); son, David Spencer Stroup (Mary); grandson, Joshua Spencer Hawkins; nephew, Frank Joseph Chase Jr. (Goldie); nieces Rebecca Dawn Chase (Juan Cruz) and Christina Grey Chase (Lucio Bustamante); beloved grand-nephews and nieces; and daughter of the heart, Melanie Wall Hayes (Richard).

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1 ^st at Apex Cemetery located at the corner of Upchurch Street and West Moore Street in Apex, NC 27502. Reverend Scott Fitzgerald will be officiating.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for giving “Cece” such loving and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association Eastern NC Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave. Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
