Charles Frederick Bodenheimer

Charles “Chuck” Frederick Bodenheimer, age 87, of New Bern, NC, passed away at his home on January 6, 2022.

Charles was born May 1, 1934 and grew up and lived most of his life in New Bern. He was a proud Veteran, having served our country in the Navy during the Korean War. He participated in the preparation of the Armistice that ended the Korean War, signed on July 27, 1953. After his military service, Charles worked for many years with the Woodruff Distributing Company in New Bern.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, William Kenneth Bodenheimer and Ethel Mae Bodenheimer and his brother, William Kenneth “Sonny” Bodenheimer, Jr.

He is survived by his sister, Edie Bell of New Bern; his nephews, Cecil Bell, Jr. of Raleigh, Jeff Bell and his wife, Mary Miller-Bell, of Raleigh, and Steven Bell and his wife, Laura Bell, of New Bern; and his great-nephew and great-nieces, Michael Bell, Kathryn Bell, Ashley Bell, and Caroline Bell.

To honor Charles’ wishes, no services will be held.
