Charles Hollister Gaskins, Sr.

Charles Hollister Gaskins, Sr., 83, of Bayboro passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at home.

Charlie was born and raised in New Bern, NC the ninth of ten sons of Hugh and Gladys Gaskins with two sisters. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 before moving to California where he worked for the state as a tree surgeon.

He raised two families and was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Dale and daughter, Alicia Parker.

He is survived by his partner of 37 years, Anne Savage; sons, Charlie Jr. (Georgia), Samuel Lee, Duane (Ren), and Jobie (Shauna); daughters, Patty Savage and Sandy (Billy) Eckard; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved with all his heart.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 22 ^nd at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home.
