Charles Calvin Sawyer

Charles Calvin Sawyer, 89, of Bayboro passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

CMSGT Sawyer served proudly in the U.S. Air Force receiving numerous medals during his career to include, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal Europe, Army Good Conduct Medal with Bronze Loops, Air Force Good Conduct Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Qualification Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with OLC, and Air Force Meritorious Service Medal with OLC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sally Sawyer, and brother, Joseph J. Sawyer.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Konradine “Muschie” Sawyer; three sons, David Sawyer, Dennis Sawyer (Polly), and Joseph C. Sawyer; and three grandsons, Jordan Sawyer, Bradley Sawyer, and Dylan Sawyer.

His graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18 ^th at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating.
