Cheryl Carawan Evans

Cheryl Carawan Evans, age 60, of Pamlico County. Died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on September 26th 2023. After a short battle with cancer.

Cheryl was born August 6th 1963, in Marathon Florida at the Fisherman’s Hospital. She was the proud daughter of former commercial fisherman, Terry R. Carawan. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard; her sister, Selena Moffitt; her children, Kyle Evans (Madison) & Presley Evans (Reid); and her grandson, Henry “Hank” Evans.

Cheryl had such a big personality and to know her was to love her. She prided herself on being the mother of her children. She was most proud of her precious grandson. Her sense of humor was one for the books and her memory will live on in all the lives she touched.

Per her wishes, there will be a private ceremony in Marathon at a later date for immediate family.
