Christine Edwards Cahoon

Christine Edwards Cahoon, 91, of Grantsboro, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Care in Goldsboro, NC.

Beginning in 1956, she co-owned and operated Cahoon True Value Hardware alongside her husband, Alfred E. Cahoon, devoting many years of hard work and care to the business.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Cahoon; parents, Ray & Josephine Edwards; brother, Paul Edwards; and sister, Edna Brownell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Gene Cahoon (Tanya); daughters, Belinda Ottinger (Don) and Dorinda Sugiyama (Tom); sisters-in-law, Barbara Edwards and Clara Barkley; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private service to honor Christine’s life will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park, with the Rev. Chris Truitt officiating.
