Christopher Allen Gladson (Slipknot), 42 years old, of New Bern, NC passed away on December 26, 2022, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Chris was born on October 26, 1980. After graduating from Pamlico County High School in 1999, he worked in the log woods for a short time before starting his career at Fleet Readiness Center (FRC)-East (Cherry Point), where he worked with multiple contractors. He then became a civil service employee working as an aircraft mechanic where he was currently employed. He loved working with his hands. He thoroughly enjoyed being able to assemble and disassemble aircraft for our military. This was his way of serving our country.

Chris was an avid fisherman and hunter! He enjoyed these hobbies and making memories with his wife, Jamie, and his son, Garrett. His love of the outdoors and being on the water was a driving factor in Chris obtaining his Captain’s license. He wanted to share his love of the water and fishing with others!

Chris was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was predeceased by Gilbert Gladson, Jr. (father), Judy Gladson (mom), and Estelle “Bessie” Anderson (Great Grandmother).

Chris is survived by: Jamie Harper Gladson (wife), Garrett Allen Gladson (son), Wanda Lancaster (mother), Glenn Paul (stepfather), Lisa Paul (stepmother), Rhonda Grote (sister), Jamie Paul (sister), Julie Harper Edwards (sister in law); Nephews: Brody, Gavin, and Kason; nieces: Natalie, Ella, Taylor, and Braylynn and many other loved friends and family members.

There will be a celebration of life at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home on December 31, 2022. The family will receive family and friends from 10 am-11 am with the celebration of life at 11 am.
