Christopher Douglas Smith, September 4, 1986 – October 9, 2023

Christopher “Chris” Douglas Smith, 37, of Silver Hill passed away suddenly on Monday, October 9, 2023, in Charlotte, NC.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Deane Miller; paternal grandparents, Lonnie Douglas Smith, Sr. and Sally White Smith; and paternal uncle, Douglas Wayne Smith.

He is survived by his three children, Christina Brooke Smith and Jayden Douglas Smith, both of James City, and Zander Adonis Smith of Grantsboro; mother, Theresa Miller Royal of Silver Hill; father, Lonnie Douglas Smith, Jr. (Diane) of La Grange; step dad, Walter Royal Jr. of Reelsboro; brothers, Brian Royal (Ali) of Vanceboro, Aaron Royal of Reelsboro, and Brandon Royal of Arapahoe; sisters, Taylor Smith (Ray), Kelsey Williams (Chase), and Kristen McLaughlin (Michael); nieces, Alissa and Alia Royal of Vanceboro, Tristen and Grace McLaughlin, and Norah and Nashlynn Williams; uncles, Vernon Miller of Silver Hill and Scott Smith; aunts, Carla Daley (Jeff) of Vanceboro and Susie Smith (Tracy); several cousins; and other family members and friends that were like family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 3:00 p.m. at 2365 Old Brick Rd., Vanceboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requested memorial contributions be made to Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home, PO Box 99, Alliance, NC 28509.
