Clifton "Pete" Earl Gaskill, Sr.

Clifton Earl Gaskill, Sr. “Pete” 76, of Grantsboro, NC, passed away at his home on April 1, 2026.

Pete spent his life dedicated to the commercial fishing industry and to the waters he loved so dearly. As the owner and operator of Gaskill Seafood Inc., he built not only a business, but a legacy rooted in hard work, resilience, and a deep connection to the coastal way of life.

Outside of his work, Pete had a passion for riding his Harley and took great pride in collecting old cars. He was a profound father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished great-grandfather. He was affectionately known as “Pepop” to those who loved him most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Weddell Gaskill and Edna Rowe Gaskill and his son, Christopher Weddell Gaskill.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Clifton “Cliff” E. Gaskill, Jr. (Natascha); daughter, Angel Dawn Gaskill Carr; grandchildren, Lynsey M. Gaskill, Clifton Blain Gaskill, Christopher Blake Gaskill, Cameron Lupton and Hollie Carr; and his great-grandchildren, Westlynn, Drake, Cru and Tylen.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at New Life Praise and Worship in Grantsboro.
