Clifton "Pie" Wade Sawyer

Clifton Wade Sawyer, “Pie”, 72, of Oriental passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy O’Neal Sawyer; parents, Emory & Louise Sawyer; and brothers, Odell & Charlie Sawyer.

He is survived by his two sons, Cliff Sawyer and wife, Ashley, and Matt Sawyer and wife, Missy; brothers, Freddie Sawyer and Bill Sawyer Sr. and wife, Betty; sisters, Geraldine Sadler and Mary Smith and husband, Bruce; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Sawyer and Carressa Sawyer, granddaughters, Morgan and Macey; and father- and mother-in-law, Levy and Ban O’Neal.

Following social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks, his graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13 ^th at Oriental Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Sadler Jr. officiating.
