Constance Beatrice Komsa Herman

Constance Beatrice Komsa Herman, 85, of Minnesott Beach, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Constance was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park, MD, where her strong faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She devoted nearly 33 years of service to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, exemplifying commitment, patriotism, and a heart for helping others.

Above all, Constance was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, William C. Herman. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together and creating a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Amelia Komsa; brother, John Komsa, Jr.; and sisters, June Zeoli and Shirley Arnheim.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, William C. Herman; sons, Christopher W. Herman (Kimberly) and Andrew J. Herman (Nancy); daughter, Lisa Cohen (Robert); sister, Barbara Nester (Leonard); and grandchildren, Ashleigh, Nicole, Brandon (David), Zachary, Justin, Kevin, Joel, and Abigail.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Craven-Pamlico Animal Shelter. Card donations can be made via phone (252-637-4606 ext 4202), cash donations can be made in person during regular business hours, or checks can be made out to: "Craven Co Health Dept Foundation" with "Animal Shelter" in the memo and mailed to 1639 Old Airport Rd., New Bern, NC 28562.
