Cordelia "Dee" Smithwick Willis

New Bern- Cordelia Smithwick Willis “Dee”, 76, of New Bern went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a long courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also loved shopping, gardening and learning about others. She was a member of the Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church and the Bayboro #184 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded by her father, Cronvell Smithwick and her mother, Ruby Lee Smithwick.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Willis; daughter, Kisa Willis Evans; son-in-law, Robert Evans; grandchildren, Cole Evans, Samantha Evans, Reese Evans, and Reagan Evans; brothers, Vaughan Smithwick and wife, Cheryl Smithwick, Roy Smithwick, Wesley Smithwick and wife, Marie Smithwick.

A graveside service will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel in New Bern on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2pm. Mask are required and must be worn while in attendance.
