Dallas Edward Quidley, Jr.

Dallas was born January 25, 1929, the son of the late Dallas and Lena Quidley. He graduated from Oriental High School in 1947, then married his love, Sadie, in 1950. Together they built a legacy of love and faith throughout their 73-year marriage, raising two sons. Dallas joined the Air Force in 1948 and served in various leadership roles for 21 years. He later went on to a successful career at Maryland Cup Corporation. He loved researching family and community history and wrote a book about his family history as lighthouse keepers. He passed away peacefully April 20, 2024.

Dallas was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sadie; his brothers, Billy and Jack Quidley; and sister, Lorena ‘Boots’ Quidley. He is survived by a brother, Elton Quidley; sons, D. Edward Quidley, III (Susan) and Harold Quidley (Kathy); grandsons, Jason Quidley (Kim) and Aaron Quidley; great grandson, Theodore ‘Teddy’ Quidley; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home in Alliance, NC Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. A service to celebrate Dallas’ life will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Daniels Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

His family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and care given to him by his caregiver, Major Harvey.
