Daniel Bryan Oliver Sr., 98, passed away peacefully at home in the morning hours of Monday, March 11, 2024.

He was the son of Dan Rasmus Oliver and Deborah Lee Oliver. He is survived by grandsons, James H. Jones Jr., and Cory Oliver; granddaughter, Megan Oliver Styron; great grandchildren, Daniel Bryan Styron and Kaylee Elizabeth Jones; son-in-law, James H. Jones Sr., and caretaker/angel, Joyce Stancil; nephews, Bill, Timmy, Seth and Shannon; nieces, Jenny, Martha, and Gail.

He is preceded in death by wives, Alma Pipkin Oliver and Ann Woodward Oliver; son, Daniel B. Oliver, Jr.; and daughter, Deborah Lee Oliver Jones.

He was a member of the Greatest Generation, a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy @ Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and historian, beloved by all who knew him.

His memorial service, with military honors, will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16th at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
