Daniel Thomas Sawyer, Jr.
December 18, 1949 — August 7, 2023
Daniel Thomas Sawyer, Jr., 73, of Reelsboro passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at Pruitt Health-Trent Campus.
He is a member of Reelsboro Christian Church. He worked for Scott Plumbing & Heating for 30 years. He also taught Middle School Boys Basketball from 1982-1983.
He was preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Goldie Sawyer; brothers, Randolph Mitchell, Johnnie Mitchell, and William M. Sawyer; and son, Bobby Lee Harris, Jr.
Thomas leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Betty Sawyer; daughter, Judy Bowen (Eddie); brothers, Jackie Sawyer and Dewitt Sawyer (Annabell); sisters, Goldie Wells and Patricia Dail; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley Green officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Sandhill Cemetery, Reelsboro.
The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to National Kidney Foundation, Attn: Gift Processing at NKFHQ, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
