Debra "Debbie" Lynn Watson

July 21, 1959 — September 7, 2025

Reelsboro

Debbie Watson, 66, of Reelsboro passed away on September 7, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Debbie was married to her loving husband for 46 beautiful years. Their marriage was a true testament to unconditional love, commitment, and companionship. Known as Grammy to those she loved the most, Debbie cherished every moment with her family. Throughout her life she could be found in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals that brought everyone together, cheering on her boys at the ball field, and crafting in “The Paint Shack”.

A woman of strong faith, Debbie’s love for God was evident in every aspect of her life. She believed deeply in the power of prayer, the promise of eternal life, and the strength that comes from trusting in God.

She is survived by the love of her life, Rodney Watson; children, Mark (Stacy), Bryan (Amber), and Aaron (Kaitlyn); grandchildren, Rylie Kate, Macy, Marshall, Hayes, and Annie.

Debbie is also survived by her mother, Martha “Sweet” Jones and her brother, David (Johnette) Jones. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 11th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Two Rivers Church, led by Pastor David McCants. Two Rivers Church is located at 3321 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC.

“Faith Over Fear” can come in many different forms and we do not always know what that may entail. However, it is the act of, in every circumstance, choosing to have faith in the Lord; in His peace, in His love, in His plan. Debbie’s life is a true testament to the power of choosing faith over fear. So, we wish to give an immense thank you to all of the prayer warriors that have lifted up and surrounded this family in every moment. Thank you.
