Debra Jo Thomas

Debra Jo Thomas, 67, of Lowland, passed away at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Debra was a devoted and loving mother who faced life’s challenges with strength and grace. She raised her children on her own, doing everything within her power to provide for them and surround them with love. Over the past year at Grantsbrook, she became a guiding light to many – often greeting people at the door with her warm smile and offering kindness to all who crossed her path.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald “Bud” Thomas and Mary Mercer Thomas and a brother, Charlie Thomas.

Debra is survived by her children, Jennifer Ford (James) and Zack Heath (Amanda); brother, Jerry Thomas (Donna); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27th at the Hobucken Community Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the funeral home at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home, PO Box 99, Alliance, NC 28509, to assist with the cost of her services.

Debra will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
