Dennis George Price

Dennis George Price, 69 of Oriental passed away Saturday September 11, 2021 at his home.

Dennis was born October 10, 1951 in Craven County to the late Bert and Carolyn Willis Price.

A lifelong Pamlico County native he attended Pamlico County High School and Pamlico Technical Institute.  Dennis retired from Bosch in 2020 after 40 years of service, but he was always a mechanic at heart.  He enjoyed tinkering on his antique vehicles and entering car shows.  Dennis also loved animals of all kind raising many throughout his life. After retirement he volunteered at Hospice with his wife, Sonja, and they attended Goose Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Dennis was quiet with a kind soul but enjoyed teasing family and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis Wayne Price; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Meekins.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja Price; daughter, Laura Price Johnson; son, Devin Stanford (Delanie); stepson, Robby Wetherington (Tammy); stepdaughter, Charity Schmidt (Jon-Jon); brother, Jerry Price (Barbara); sister, Brenda Bennett (Tommy); six grandchildren, Brittney, Tiffany, Saran, Brynn, Abigail, and Samuel; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Eric.

His graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15 ^th at Rawls Cemetery, Arapahoe, with the Rev. Cindy Midyette officiating.
