Doran Lee Sadler, 70, of Hobucken passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Doran's love of the water led to his lifelong career as a commercial fisherman. He took great pleasure in spending time on his boat. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Murray Lee Sadler; mother, Juanita Sadler; brother, Ray Rhoden; and grandson, Noah Ecker.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Teal Sadler; son, Doran Thomas Sadler (Stephanie); daughters, Erica Sadler Mitchell (Parker), Nicole Sadler Ecker (John), and Teal Y. Sadler; brothers, Lynn Sadler and Mickey Sadler; sisters, Rhonda Luckey, Bonny West, and Robyn Strong; grandchildren, Morgan Spain, Lily Ecker, Kennedy Mitchell, Wyatt Young, and Rivers Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Doran's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 2nd at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will be in Barnett Cemetery, Hobucken.
