June 5, 1928 — July 20, 2021
Doris Miller Harris, 93, of Oriental passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Oriental.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Julie Miller; husband, Sherwood Lee Harris, Sr.; son, Sherwood “Woody” Harris, Jr.; and grandson, Alexander Deaton.
She is survived by her son, Larry Harris; daughters, Sheryl Harris Sanders & husband, Don, and Karen Harris Deaton & husband, John; eight grandchildren, Julie (Jim) McCulley, Tonya Taylor, Don (Tracy) Sanders Jr., Jason Christopher Sanders, Brian Eric Sanders, Matthew (Jolina) Deaton, Stephen Deaton and Hayley Deaton; 13 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515.
