Dudley "Buddy" Alvin Paul III

Dudley Alvin Paul III “Buddy”, 61, of Alliance, NC passed away on May 5, 2026.

Buddy made his living as a commercial fisherman before his health declined. He had a love for country music, the outdoors, especially hunting, and cherished time spent with his niece, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who brought him immense happiness.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Paul and brother, Greg Paul.

Buddy is survived by his father, Dudley Paul, Jr.; brothers, Gary Russell Paul, Sr. and Jamie Paul; “sister”, Hope Paul Gibson; eight nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12th at Cowell Cemetery in Bayboro.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home, PO Box 99, Alliance, NC 28509.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the simple joys of life, and the lasting friendships he formed throughout his years.
