Elizabeth Margaret Grimm

Elizabeth “Beth” M. Grimm of Bayboro, NC, passed away suddenly, but peacefully at her home on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the age of 69. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Beth was born in New York on August 1, 1952. She was a Bayboro resident for 17 years and worked as the parish administrator/bookkeeper at St. Thomas Episcopal Church for 15 years. Beth enjoyed volunteering her time and participated actively in community outreach. Beth loved learning how to do new things and was a fiercely independent lady. She had many talents, one of which was clay art that she self-taught. Beth made friends everywhere she went. She had a fiery spirit and was a loyal friend to many. Beth loved her children and family very much and was an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren. She had a huge heart for animals as well, especially her cats.

Beth was preceded in death by her father, Henry E. Reidel and her husband, Henri A. Grimm.

She is survived by her mother, Doris Reidel; daughter, Elizabeth Ragan (John); son, Joseph Grimm; brothers, John Reidel (Stephanie) and Henry Reidel; sisters, Doris Garritt, and Ruth Shafer (Rob); and two grandchildren, David and Walker Ragan.

A private Celebration of Life will be held July 30, 2022, in Pennsylvania.
