Ethel "Jackie" Jacqueline Hopkins Lowder

Ethel Jacqueline “Jackie” Hopkins Lowder, 83, of New Bern passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Ethel, affectionately known as Jackie was born the middle child in Lowland, NC, to the late Wiley and Amy Leary Hopkins.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Lowder, Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Grady Lowder III and wife, Laura Wolons; daughters, Debbie Mott and husband, Blake, and Amy Horrell and husband, Jon; brother, Bud Hopkins and wife, Taffy; sister, Sylvia Buck; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park to honor Jackie’s life.
