Evelyn "Kay" Batson Weary

Evelyn Kay Batson Weary, 77, of Grantsboro passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Vera Batson.

Kay is a beloved mother and granny. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest blessing in life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Cesal (Andy), Wayne Weary (Sammie), Margaret Alphin (Kenny), and Michael Weary (Courtney); brother, Graydon Batson; sisters, Patricia Gunter (Johnny) and Barbara Evans (Howard); and ten grandchildren, Morgan Cesal, Thomas Cesal, Emilee Cesal, Samuel Cesal, Madeleine Cesal, Benjamin Cesal, Kaitlyn Aphin, Caroline Alphin, Graydon Weary, and Adalynn Weary.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
