Forest Howard Williams, Jr., 60, of Reelsboro passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at ECU Hospice House in Greenville, NC.
A devoted family man and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Forest lived a life defined by kindness, service, and a deep love for those around him.
Forest found great joy in riding his Harley alongside his family, embracing both the freedom of the open road and the togetherness that came with it. His greatest passion, however, was the water. As a commercial fisherman, he built a career doing what he loved most – spending his days out on the sea. Forest had a talent for fixing things and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered as someone who gave selflessly and found purpose in making life better for others.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walton and Helen Williams; maternal grandparents, Georgella and Russell Zetterower; and nephews, Allen Asher Jones and Daylin Cross Hancock.
Family was the center of Forest’s world. He was a fiercely loving son, brother, uncle, and friend – always patient, always present, and above all, deeply forgiving. His warmth, strength, and loyalty leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Forest Williams; mother, Georgie Williams; siblings, Shawna Marquardt, Kimberly Ward, Russell, Paul, Michael, David, Julie, James, and Amanda Williams; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 1st at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 31st at the funeral home.
