Gordon A.C. Lewis, 95, of Camp Jo Jane, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2026.
Gordon was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in caring for his family. He loved being near the water and spent countless hours enjoying the boat and the beach alongside the love of his life, his beloved wife, Pat.
Gordon and Pat shared 71 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, devotion, and countless memories. Their time together on the water was especially precious to Gordon, and those who knew him understood just how important both Pat and the water were to him. He also spent part of his working life helping to commandeer a yacht club in New York, a fitting chapter in the life of a man whose heart was always drawn toward the water.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran he instilled values and importance of family. He was a dedicated husband, and father who worked hard to provide for and care for those he loved. He held a special place in his heart for animals as well as his family.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Winifred Lewis; his sister, Muriel Simon; and his beloved wife of 71 years, Patricia “Pat” Lewis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Gordon, Wyatt, Ian, and Ted Lewis; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and daughter of the heart, Chanel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to one’s favorite charity.
